Treks Within Reflection – Pausing in the "Here and Now" Adventures

We Survived the Trek!

Hola! And OMG... What a once in a lifetime experience! Four days and 3 nights of difficult walking, hard ground for bedding, spectacular environments, and numb bodies by day 4. Which is today... We´re in Aguas Callientes and in heaven with hot showers and real beds! This morning we reached Machu Picchu as the fog lifted and it was absolutely breath-taking. All of us kept saying,"We´re at Machu Picchu" in total disbelief. Though exhausted, we were all exhilarated. I am eager to return to MP in a different state of mind, rested, and from a different approach (bus versus trail)... Whichever, it is simply magnificent and indeed "a wonder of the world!"

I´ll keep this short and we need some sleep, but just want you to know we´ve made it and all is well! We´ve all taken a bazillion photos and chatted with various people upon the trail from all parts of the world. This definitely added to the depth of the experience.

So for now, I´ll close with another special Namaste moment and promises to be in touch again soon!

Adios!
