My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I started taking pictures with 14. I spent many hours in fields and tried to capture photographs of small animals. I didn’t have the opportunity to travel far away, so I found small projects in my area. In summer 2011 I got the opportunity to visit Cambodia for one year. There I did art projects with kids. In my free time I loved walking through the streets, exited about what situation would wait for me around the next corner. I had saved some money and therefore could stay three more months, just for taking pictures. When I think about what to do with my life I always come back to photography. It’s what I love, although it’s not always easy. I spent a lot of time thinking about photography and what I want to do with it. I love composing, looking for the right moment, emotion and capturing moments that probably nobody else will be able to capture again. That fascinates me.
My greatest dream would be to make a living off travel photography.I’ll try hard and maybe one day it will come true. I never had the chance before to meet a professional photographer or even to assist one. I have questions and I would be grateful to be able to learn, get tips and clues and new ideas from Jason.
