Shockalotti and Lozenators Intrepid Journey This is the online travel journal of Wynne and Lauren. We are travelling to Canada Vancouver to live for a year or so. On the way we will stop off and visit a large chunk of South East Asia: Taipei, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia.

Hong Kong was an absolute buzz. Everyone has to go there to see it. It is like a city out of a futuristic movie. The buildings are enormous, and they are chocka with building next to building. On the outside of the buildings they have amazing light systems all the way up the building so they can do light shows and advertise etc. The people are not as nice as Taipei - not sure why. There are so many electronics shops and you can get the latest anything - sunglasses, electronics, massage chairs, whatever, for quite cheap. However you can also get ripped off pretty quickly too. Some of the streets down below the movies look like something out of a Kung Fu movie with food shops everywhere and little old asian ladies hobbling around. Amazing place - I am blown away.
