Siem Reap

CAMBODIA | Monday, 29 September 2008 | Views [331]

been here since Friday and leaving tomorrow. Spent the last 2 days gawking at the temples of Angkor and am now suffering a little of what they call "temple fatigue". As much as they are full of historical, cultural and mythical depth, you can't help but feel worn out after all that cycling, climbing, walking and endless bumpy tuk tuk rides to some sites further away from the city. But I enjoyed myself very much nevertheless and will update soon with proper entries when I get time to pen them down.

Last day here in Siem Reap and am just gonna relax and soak in the great vibe here, walk around the streets and then catch a final sunset at Angkor Wat. Siem Reap has struck me as a very safe and tourist-friendly town (and not as commercial yet), much more than Phnom Penh. Also, food and accommodation is surprisingly affordable! If you're planning to visit, plan about 4 days for a leisurely time here.
