My Scholarship entry - JOURNEY TO THE END OF THE EARTH

IN TO THE WILDERNESS WE GO -

Out of the gloom of the fog, looms The Last Great Wilderness as our first sighting on the Antarctic voyage. Comprised of jagged, unforgiving rocks capped off with layer upon layer of thick snow, the Ice Continent presents a harsh environment with raging dry winds with alarming, bone chilling temperatures. A 48 hour journey on the brutal, raging seas of The Drake Passage finally brings us to calm, pristine waters of the Antarctic.
