My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I have been studying and taking photographs for a number of years now and yet I still would not label myself a ‘photographer’. For me, such a title falls to those who have truly felt the essence of an awe-inspiring moment.
On many occasions, I have been blessed with a sentiment that I know is but a taster of the capabilities a breathtaking picture can hold. I know this scholarship will unfold my grin, from ear-to-ear, helping me capture that perfect moment. The one in which all elements of reality come together for that split second and say “I have a gift for you”.
I returned to studying photography after a year in the IT industry. A complete contrast to my initial direction, but nonetheless a life experience that I take as an important lesson in my understanding of the world around me. I foresee Jason Edwards concentrating our time together on timing, understanding, listening, recording and feedback-all essential tools similar to an IT cold call!
To help unveil to the World Nomads and National Geographic audience a photographic story, which would help frame a deeper understanding of a cultured community, would be an absolute honor and an achievement I’m sure to never forget.
