Kids are taught by rote, so they know how to rattle off the answer but to think critically is another thing all together. They also had no idea where Australia is. Mind you, the average Aussie student would have no clue where Gulu is.

Education is so prized that primary school kids will come to class even on Saturdays. In Gulu this was one of only a few empty classrooms. Note the lack of power, whiteboards and resources we depend on.

Yep, these are uni students at a conference. No, it's not a tin shed, well sort of. They were here for 9 hours on a Saturday asking the same questions that young people in the West do - how do I know I should marry this particular person?
