If it weren't for the background I would say this would be one of my most favourite photos. As soon as he saw us his face broke into this huge smile and started running to greet us.

It doesn't matter where I am in the world as soon as kids see a camera they can't help themselves and get silly. These kids were no different. When they saw themselves on the video screen they thought it was the most hilarious thing they'd ever seen.

Education is so prized that primary school kids will come to class even on Saturdays. In Gulu this was one of only a few empty classrooms. Note the lack of power, whiteboards and resources we depend on.
