We got a plane from Santiago to Punta Arenas in the south of Chile, from there it was a 3 hour bus ride to Puerto Natales where our tour started. We were stoked that our hostel was nice and we had a tv and own bathroom. The owner looked like a hilbilly out of the movie deliverence (he was nice though).
The tour bus picked us up at 7am in the morning and then we drove to the Torres De Paine national park were we walked thorugh caves, saw waterfalls, iceburgs and glaciers.
The next day we borded a boat at 7.30am and motored through a waterway that took us to many glaciers. Along the way we saw sea lions, penguins, waterfalls and some huge glaciers. The sea lions were so cute, a family of 10 lived in a cave in the rock face.
The scenery is quite amazing and is very frigin cold! At some stages it must have been blowing at least 40knots.
Had a great hot lunch on a beautiful farmhose on the water which was included lamb shanks, chicken, soup, sausages, beer and wine etc. The tour was excellent and saw some amazing things - the photos attached tell the story.
