Due to competition with larger wholesale companies, it has simply become impossible to earn a stable income off the understaffed Bendeela orchard.

As a result of his recent aneurism, the brother has been left unable to walk properly, and needs his sister to care for him. This has left the orchard to fall into a state of disrepair.

Recently the owners have been forced to bulldoze the trees and rows of rotting fruit crates, and reappropriate the land for a more viable purpose.
