tried more pix. again random. last night was even LOUDER, what did you say? then last night. more discoy thumping drum etc. they enjoying themselves big family and friends event. gummy bear ear plugs and my ipod dulls it. anyway they do stop.
cold again morning. we are at elevation for one thing. fun this morn get to mkt for porridge i sussed out yesterday, and part of a group of 20ish cyclists we had seen some of before. crowding around. they going bit different route. three month around thai border sort of. variety of ages. looks like they having fun.
head up hill. but great news of the day is we are on the gradual climb side. so is a long steeper switchbacking grade down. then some sort of flat on into town. too bad so much smoky haze form all the little fires. not much distance views.
nice hotel. again police officer guide us there. head on into town for mkt, but mostly closed up. is morning mkt and past noon now. i enjoyed just looking around town as go to fro,. later back with Keith to little lake and park. lot more chinese population here. big temples and a ton of chinese restaurants.
glad to find cyber open. and not full. isnt as busy here as we had thought it might be. is holidays and traffic was A lot all the way over but this not touristy destination. tomorrow in Chiang Khan they say it fills on weekend. hope not. then i think less busy road along Mekong. hoping. was much nicer on smaller roads. ok tale continues
