My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a teacher in my hometown (Bogotá, Colombia), my subject is social studies. I recently finishes my undergraduate studies on anthropology. For the past 5 years I have been working on my photography skills, traveling through my country and other places.

I believe I will be perfect for this assignment, because it combines my passion with photography (and the opportunity to improve my skills in the field) with my passion of traveling and discovering new cultures (that´s why I choose to study anthropology).

This photos show the Festival of Lights (festival de las luces) celebrated in Latin america. The photos where taken in a small town called Villa de Leyva (three hour drive from Bogotá)
