My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Worldwide | Monday, September 13, 2010 | 5 photos
I’m Santiago Florez currently I’m a student of anthropology and general arts in la Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota Colombia. I have been an amateur photographer for almost two years. I have done photography in my home country and during my traveling (through Colombia and the States). These photos were taken in a trip I took this summer through England. My pictures show the modern day living in England as place full of contradictions where you can find from modern art to traditional weaving and other traditions. Where the history is alive through tourism and school field trips and mixes with the problems of every day life.
I want to be able to participate in the world nomad’s scholarship because it offers a great opportunity to develop my photography with traveling experience and great mentoring. It offers the opportunity to travel to an amazing and unknown place and the opportunity to take photos of people and places that are facing a great change in their lives, where traditional is mixing with contemporary in new and unique expressions of culture.
I’m egger to learn organized and hard working and I hope that you will see this through my photos and considered me as a great choice for the scholarship.
