"Salty Dog" Seafood Bar in Downtown Boston

We got away from Niagara Falls fairly early for the longest (driving) leg of our journey 758 km (using the gps) and had little trouble on the way. Found out that speed limits mean very little in the usa. 65 mph = 85 mph (minimum), so we made the trip in pretty good time. Arrived in Boston in daylight and caught the subway downtown - paid for our tikets by credit card - very handy.

Boston is a beautiful even elegant city and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Looked around the old town and faneuil hall (market) and had some delicious sea food at a restaurant called "the salty dog".

Would have liked to survey boston further, but had to be on our way to new york for our longest stay of the trip (5 days). On the way out we drove through Cambridge (Harvard U) and the beautiful districts of beacon hill and back bay.

Also went via the coast road through connicticut and rhode island and had a glimpse of the atlantic ocean. The gps again worked perfectly and we arrived outside our new york hotel in plenty of time and found a parking spot right outside the door.
