My name is Rachel Marek. I live and work in Des Moines, Iowa in the United States. I am an avid traveler and an aspiring photographer. I love to experience and learn about new cultures. I try to use my photography to transport the viewer to the scene of where the photo was taken, and make them feel what I was feeling when I was there, in that moment. I am currently a photographers assistant at Meredith Corporation. Most of the images created at Meredith are in a controlled environment, and its amazing what the photographers and designers can produce. I have learned a great deal from assisting the photographers at Meredith. I enjoy what I do and help create, but I also love to get out into the world and capture its wonder and beauty. I have lived in London and Australia for six months each and enjoyed every minute of it. During those times I also traveled to other countries in the vicinity to experience their culture and see the sights. I am excited about this opportunity and can't wait to see what is in store for me on my next adventure!
