Motorbikes line the street outside of the markets in Ubud. The market place is set up to sell tourists souvenirs. This provides jobs, and monetary gain for the local people in Ubud.

A Balinesian man carves wooden sculptures for tourists to buy. Tour leaders take groups to many destinations like this to watch the workers create wood carvings, jewelry or batik fabrics and make purchases. Incentives are given to the guides if tourist buy items.

A shrine to a Balinesian god is on a wall near an alley with a motor bike in the background showing how the Western world and tourism has influenced the Balinesian culture. Now it is a mix between modern ameneties like motor bikes and keeping with the traditional culture in Bali.
