europe 2013 A where we can, when we can, account of our self drive trip around Ireland-Britain-France

Bodmin Cornwall

UNITED KINGDOM | Wednesday, 11 September 2013 | Views [148]

For the next couple of nights we're staying in Bodmin with Lindsay an English friend of Janice's.  The towns, we passed through to get here, don't have the same tidy/quaint appeal as in Ireland.  The country landscape is still rolling hills and paddocks bordered with stone walls covered in brush.  Farm buildings and trees as far as the eye can see. Views are definitely more expansive than NZ.

This afternoon we toured Eden Garden.  An educational and charity project started in an old clay pit in 1999.  Huge domes full of tropical and mediterranean plants.  The rainforest garden included a lot of the plants common in our own home gardens in NZ and Aust.

Tommorrow, weather pemitting we're off for a cycle.
