2 nights in Bangkok

The last time I was in Bangkok was way back in 1992/93. I had actually forgotten what a beautiful city Bangkok is. Being a village girl, I am not a great fan of cities but I have to say I fell in love with Bangkok when I first went there and it is even more beautiful now. The Chaopraya River is its lifeblood and sailing on that is really beautiful. The temples are glorious and very well kept. The skytrain, a new addition since I was last there, was easy to use and very convenient. I loved the fresh fruits that are sold on the streets.

On the first day, I visited the local market where they made fresh Som Tam (papaya salad) and it was delicious.

I also visited the beautiful palaces and temples and even had a 1 hour herbal massage a Wat Pho temple which was beautiful and only cost 400 Baht (appx GBP 7).

I visited the Mango Tree restaurant (the same one that is in Victoria, London and had some great food.

I met a french guy, Frederick, who has been working with the UN as a translator.

All in all a great place to visit.
