Counting sheep at Lima Airport

PERU | Wednesday, 14 March 2007 | Views [593]

Hola... well, I´ve made it this far, to Lima Airport.  After 20 something hours doing seated yoga positions on the plane... and plenty of hours at airports along the way.  Well so far I´ve met a nice UK guy living in NZ, a nice NZ girl living in Japan and a loud and friendly Chilean guy returning home after a year in NZ. I´m currently in running for the best blood shot eye - smelly shirt awards and I still have quite a few hours to pass by at the aeropuerto in Lima.

Anyway, the trip is really working so far... I REALLY appreciate everything at home... people, places, knowledge of language and currency... I won't go taking that for granted anytime soon!

So to Quito tomorrow to meet with my fellow travellers.  You are all in my thoughts.

Cheers... (yawn)

(Ps no sheep sighted yet at Lima airport)

PPS Lima airport is nice and new... Auckland airport was well set out but Buenos Aires was a bit of a time trip to the 70s...!
