My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I want to make a difference! I am an artist trapped to the academic world. My dream is to earn a living by doing my art. I try to mix my two big passions, images and travel, the best of my ability. I want to see and experience the world as it is, and my goal is to visit all the countries in the world. My life runs before my eyes in images as I am always after that perfect picture, and I am willing to go to great expenses to get that. I am my own worst critic, a hardworking individual with an insuperable work ethic and passion for learning. As a (political) geography student both, the nature and the built environment fascinate me. I paint, play tennis and love catching motion and emotion with my pictures. I want to send a message that evokes feelings. As I often keep to myself my camera is my safety blanket, offering me an excuse to sniff around. It also offers an opportunity to forget myself, live in the moment and just concentrate what is before me. With this experience I hope to gain more technical knowledge, tips how to improve my pictures and learn how to better approach my subjects. I want to improve myself as a person and as a photographer, and learn from the best.
