So this was the start of the new adventure. We had said all our goodbyes over the last 4 weeks and now this was it. 7 suitcases, 2 cabin bags and 1 large handbag (of course) and we are ready for the depart to London Heathrow from Aberdeen. Arriving at T5 on a BA flight to join a BA connecting flight to Singapore, you would have thought that would have been easy. BUT no, we had to get on a shuttle to get to T3. Arriving at T3 there was no notice for the gate we required and now we have 90mins to get something to eat and then get to the gate. And of course the gate was not shown till 60mins prior to departure.
We got the gate to find that it was a free for all. Just join the queue and wait to board. Never mind me and Gobey had upgraded our seats in Aberdeen so we knew we had seats together in premium economy and the extra space to enjoy the next 13 hour flight.
Take off, and goodbye UK – we will see you again in 5months !!!
