Almost....

...done with our time in the Philippines?  Can we stay longer?????

It was sad to see Karina and Christiaan leave us a couple of weeks ago....Kiev and I are "on our own" again (at least temporarily)...and are currently in Boracay.

The past 10 days, we have been out of e-mail communication - as we travelled to an island called Romblon and stayed at a place called Cabanbanan Dive and Beach resort, which was a 20 minute Bunka (boat) ride away from Romblon City ....we did have 24 hour electricity (for 8/10 days) but no internet connection, no computer, no town, and spotty mobile reception - it was bliss.  Kiev and I spent our days chilling on the beach, eating wonderful home-cooked meals, enjoying sunsets and doing some great diving - the last being a 75 minute dive.  Romblon was a bit tricky to get to (took 2 days, both ways) and involves ...taking a boat from Boracay to Caticlan (20 min), taking a boat from Caticlan to Looc, Tablas (another island, 4 hours), taking a Jeepney (riding on top, 2.5 hours), staying in a small town called St. Augustine where no restaurants were open (at all, meaning no dinner for us, other than crisps)...waking at 5am to to take a 6am ferry (1hour) to get to Romblon City and then taking another boat (20 min) to the Resort - whewph...but worth it....and on the way back it was the same, except, we stayed in Looc and had to take a trycycle for 2.5 hours instead of a Jeepney because the Jeepneys were all done for the day...

Anways, we are enjoying one more night in Touristy Boracay (nice sand, though) before heading to Los Banos once more - enjoying some family time before heading to Bangkok and then to Perth!

We are missing our family at home (but having a great time) and hope you are all healthy and happy as well!

Cheers for now,

Karrie and Kiev =)
