I got my first DSLR camera three years ago and fell in love with photographing. Last year I got a National Geographic camera bag for my birthday and it follows me where ever I go, imagining that I'm on an adventure even if it is in my own back yard. I even take it with me to work, if the perfect shot would pop up on my way home. I did a few mistakes last summer, not having my camera ready or with me and missed so many beautiful shots so therefore I have dedicated this whole year to always be prepared and improve my photographing. Reading blogs, watching vidoes and even reading some books to get new ideas and even polish the basics. Because of this I am very eager to learn and always want to do my best. I have only had one short class in photography but it was mainly about studio and product photography.

I study tourism and believe that tourism and photography goes almost hand in hand. A tourist greatest tool to capture their memories from a trip is the camera. I would like to combine my hobby and my studies to create something fantastic. What that is I still don't know but I think that this scholarship would give me many interesting ideas to hopefully create something unique.
