The ghats on the river yamuna in Mathura can be seen from the other side of the river. An old boat long left in the shalow waters can b seen from the unpopular side of the river.

A boatman prepares to go to his 'office' - the holy side of the river where the temples are to take devotes on a ride in the holy river. An everyday routine for the few boatmen still left of this dying profession.

'Kachoris': Mathura is famous for three things - 'the sweet-pera', 'the birth place of Lord Krishna' and the 'Kachoris- made by stuffing wheat dough with lentils and frying them' only available in the mornigs. This is one of my similar shops serving the first kachoris of the day.
