A boatman prepares to go to his 'office' - the holy side of the river where the temples are to take devotes on a ride in the holy river. An everyday routine for the few boatmen still left of this dying profession.

Sitting and staring at the rver has become one of the favorite job of many a young people of the city. In a way the river has two sides one for the devotees the old generation looking for tradition. The other for the young looking for peace and a place just to be themselves. Other places have disc, bars or restaurants. We have the yamuna!!!

The ghats on the river yamuna in Mathura can be seen from the other side of the river. An old boat long left in the shalow waters can b seen from the unpopular side of the river.
