So I also forgot to write that at the last minute in Vientiene, Simon and I went to a museum about UXOs in Laos (Unexploded Ordinance). So what I found out was the Laos is the most bombed country in the world!! The US dropped all these bombs in Laos in the 60's and 70's I think and many of them didn't explode. So now there are all these UXOs all over the country and children often pick them up thinking they found something interesting and then they explode! Also, people use the metal to make thinks like rice cookers and sometimes it's ok and other times very dangerous. Many of the farmers have no option but to harvest their fields knowing that there could be UXOs there - and many times there are.
It was pretty sad but we were glad we got to see the museum at the last minute.
