    Hawksbill Turtle: I was lucky enough to have this encounter during the summer holiday (2012) on the corner of Jackson Reef in the Straits of Tiran, Egypt. An example of the biodiversity, colour and beauty of coral reefs all over the world. Which sadly are under threat and the amount of time that we will have them looking like this may be limited. This beautiful hawksbill was completely at ease with getting as close as I liked and even moved toward where I was. A beautiful moment, on a beautiful dive, in a beautiful place. by: nuttallsmithphotos Views[157] Steps to the heaven of the Ocean: The stairs that take you from the harsh and barren land to the heaven that awaits under the water. It is one of the many things that makes this part of the world so special, the contrast. You literally step off the desert and into the coral filled sea. It gives you a stark reminder of the hidden beauty that is the underwater world. by: nuttallsmithphotos Views[157] Sunrise over the Red Sea: Sometimes it is worth getting up that little bit earlier.. This was taken in Dahab, Egypt as the sun rose over Saudi Arabian soil. This is one of my favourite places that I have been to. A truly peaceful and calming place. Everyone is kind hearted and well meaning, they don’t care for the clothes that you wear nor the style in which you have your hair.. It seems to be a place where people are judged on who they are and not by what they own.. A wonderful place where the issues of the world seem to float away and the mind is at peace.. by: nuttallsmithphotos Views[197] Mount Moses: As you descend from the summit of Mount Moses you reach a cluster of buildings. The simplicity of the place, the silence, the clarity, is all truly peaceful. It is easy to see why this a place of faith and spirituality, everything about the place allows you to see past what is directly in front of you. It also gives you a chance to clear your mind and just feel the place that you are in. A wonderful stop off on the long walk down. by: nuttallsmithphotos Views[187] Sunrise at the Top: 7km up, after 4 hours of walking and you reach the summit of Mt Sinai (Mt Moses) and the tranquility bursts out over the horizon at 4 30am. The feeling of reward for a bit of effort floods your body as the first warmth hits your face. The air is still and there is no sound, you feel yourself sink into calmness and just watch the slowly climbing sun creep over and cast light over the landscape at your feet. It may not be the edge of space, but hey.. its not too bad. by: nuttallsmithphotos Views[261]
