My Scholarship Entry - The Murder of the Innocent
Poland | Friday, November 30, 2012 | 5 photos
I am a selfless person. I have always put others before myself and I plan to live my life by this principle. When I got the option to go to Poland to visit the tragedies that took place in Auschwitz, I grabbed my Canon 550d and went on a plane. I have always wanted to capture the world. The good, the bad, the obscure, the wondrous, and the boring. Being able to capture these important relics in time is something that I hold dear to my heart and I want to do it for the rest of my life. I was born into a middle class family twenty minutes from Manhatten. I've had an amazing life and it disheartens me that some people do not see the atrocities and the beauty of the world. People are fenced in where I come from, and I want to show them the world through images. Images that I take, that display deeper meanings. I currently live in Piscataway, NJ and attend Rutgers University where I wish to pursue a major in Photography and Journalism and Media Studies. I haven't been awarded anything, I'm not famous, and I don't believe to be an amazing photographer. But the passion is there. I want to show people what the world has to offer. Please give me a chance, and start my journey.
