My Scholarship Entry - The Murder of the Innocent

This pictures was taken in Auschwitz-Birkenau. This place was so incredibly vast, that you got a bit dizzy to think that so many people were murdered on the grounds. The tracks are so incredibly symbolic. The tracks gave the Nazi's access to murder so many innocent people. It led them to a road to nowhere.

Photography-wise, I like this photo because o fthe depth of field. The focus is mostly on the tracks and you don't really know where thew tracks go. The shadows in the tracks are dark which represents the unknown. I love that the sky is gray for it really sets the mood for the photo and makes it very grim.
