Travel photography is my dream job, and this excellent opportunity - to learn under a Nat Geo professional and the experience is a dream come true!
I'm a people's person (ENFP),and would like to bring my passion and career together and build it towards travel and media (This is why this chance is perfect!)
I have always been interested in photography, took pictures with my phone, point and shoot or SLR - begged or borrowed. I believe that the message is more important than the medium. My dad gifted me a Nikon P90, because I was always snapping away with my phone. I loved it & took a lot of photos, but I wanted more flexibility so I saved up and brought my first SLR (D5100) in Nov '12.
I photograph, because I want to capture that moment. Seeing a photo gives us a feeling of how that moment could've been, creating a little experience in our heads. And its amazing how a photograph can capture a feeling - Beauty, Rapture or Wrath as a frozen moment.
There is a joy in photography, when I'm able to capture the frame in my head onto my camera. I sometimes get captions in my head as I photograph (Good/Bad?)
I do need to build my confidence in photography & I hope I get chosen.
