Plead - Its very common in India for people to come up to u and plead for money. if you look different, people will follow you. They are not malicious though, they won't hit u or snatch your belongings. They are just very persistent. I was climbing a building to get to a vantage point. Seeing me with a camera, she asked for alms. Little did she know it was a borrowed camera. I took a picture and gave her some money. The girl got a gum and walked away happy.

Science Surrenders -
Ahmedabad has the blend of old values and new culture. People are very religious, maybe superstitious too, but the education in that city is one of the best in the country. Many of the country's best universities are located there.
Tradition is tradition though.
Managed to capture this as I saw a man opening a temple, the city streets are lined with little temples.

Beggar Blindness - Many people now don't notice beggars. 'How many beggars can you give to?' is the question. A bigger problem is that 'Begging' is somewhat an organised crime in India. The women and children are put out on streets because they evoke more sympathy from people. At the end of the day, their money gets taken ways buy their 'organisers'. I always say to the ones I meet-
