My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

It takes a car about 45 minutes to drive up to this point on the mountains if they are allowed and it takes a few hours to hike here. The hikers are greeted by a cabin that a family lives in during the summer taking care of the cows that are not mature enough to produce milk. They offer the hikers a place to rest and to purchase food and drink.

A cow along the path is not an uncommon site to come across. The cows are here to graze on the rich grasses that grows in the mountains during the summer. You can sometimes walk right up to them. Other times they like to keep their distance if they are unfamiliar with you.

Inside the cabin in the kitchen you have most of the conveniences of a modern urban home. Running water and an outlet for power. However, if you need anything heated including food or water you need to burn wood.
