    Living up here taking care of cows and hikers while looking after their 1 year old daughter is not easy. I even took on the parental duty while they worked to help them out. It was great fun and I even learned a lot about myself at the same time. She really enjoys playing with the rocks on the ground and all of the hikers loved her and made them smile. by: nathane Views[178] Inside the cabin in the kitchen you have most of the conveniences of a modern urban home. Running water and an outlet for power. However, if you need anything heated including food or water you need to burn wood. by: nathane Views[218] It takes a car about 45 minutes to drive up to this point on the mountains if they are allowed and it takes a few hours to hike here. The hikers are greeted by a cabin that a family lives in during the summer taking care of the cows that are not mature enough to produce milk. They offer the hikers a place to rest and to purchase food and drink. by: nathane Views[187] A cow along the path is not an uncommon site to come across. The cows are here to graze on the rich grasses that grows in the mountains during the summer. You can sometimes walk right up to them. Other times they like to keep their distance if they are unfamiliar with you. by: nathane Views[203] A view of a village just outside of Hermagor Austria made up mostly of farmers. This area is popular for tourists to get out of their busy cities and hike in the Alps to enjoy the fresh air and spectacular views.
