My Year of Yego!! We live in a world full of amazing people and beautiful, awe-inspiring places. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we say "YES"!!

Kilimanjaro Climb

At the Londrossi Gate all of the porters gather around a scale to weigh the bags. In the past there were no regulations and porters were expected to carry a ridiculous amount of weight without proper clothing or footwear. Fortunately now there are better regulations with a maximum of 50 pounds per porter and the Kili Porters Assistance Program lends them proper gear to make the climb. Our outfitter, SENE, is well known for treating/paying their porters well ... one of the reasons I chose them! :-)
