    Bryan and me at the start of the Lemosho Route ... here we go!!! by: my_year_of_yes Views[253] We stayed at Simba Farm (5800 ft) for 2 nights to help acclimate before the climb. This is the view of their beautiful butterfly garden with Mt. Meru in the background. by: my_year_of_yes Views[403] Lunch Day 1 - I could not believe the amount of fresh fruits and veggies we had each day. All of the meals were delicious! And just think ... our porters had to carry all of this food in as well as the cooking tent, dining tent, table, chairs, and all the other equipment! This was definitely high end camping! :-) by: my_year_of_yes Views[214] At the Londrossi Gate all of the porters gather around a scale to weigh the bags. In the past there were no regulations and porters were expected to carry a ridiculous amount of weight without proper clothing or footwear. Fortunately now there are better regulations with a maximum of 50 pounds per porter and the Kili Porters Assistance Program lends them proper gear to make the climb.
