Day after summit ... a look back at where we were! WOW!

After the summit we had a brutal 4 hour hike down skree and rocks to Barafu Camp (no photos because I was crazy exhausted!) Thank goodness for Frank for having my tent set up so all I had to do was fall inside, take off my boots and the SENE crew brought me hot water to wash up and dinner to my tent. After 12 hours of climbing/hiking I have NEVER been that exhausted in my life! This photo is the view of Kili the next morning from Barafu camp!

Heading back down from Barafu Camp to Mweka Huts. Descending over 5000' in a day is NOT easy on the knees!
