Daily prayers are a big part in the life of a monk. Although their standard education makes them go abroad, their religious progress is what they are most concerned with.

A long way from home two young Laotian monks are engrossed in their studies in one of the numerous monasteries in Chiang Mai in Thailand. They are two of the lucky ones who were allowed to go to Northern Thailand to get a better education. Most of the monks come from poor families who cannot support their child on their own and therefore send it to a monastery.
