Wanderlust This blog is mainly set up to reassure my mum that I am doing fine and am not getting myself into too much trouble. For everyone else who is interested in my travels hope you enjoy reading my brief accounts of the places I am exploring.

It has been an eventful last week or so as the day after our last update we both came down with a pretty nasty case of food poisoning. Instead of going out to the village of Thame, we ended up having to stay in Namche Bazzar for 3 more days trying to recover. After a few rest days we were feeling well enough to begin our descent back to Lukla and the airport. After a very slow, 3 day walk we made it to Lukla and the airport. Our flight out can only be described as a roller coaster, as the runway is angled at a 25 degree slope and we had 10 yards of runway left before you fall off a cliff. but alas back in kathmandu, waiting to meet up with dave and todd and wyatt. kathmandu is a funny city, we're not quite sure what to think of it. hopefully we can upload pictures in the next few days. hope the rain is not getting to everyone,it is sunny and 65 here but as always we are thinking of the PNW.
