So slight change in plans...for those of you who are still checking this blog (which is probably not many as i have done an admittedly bad job of keeping it up on this trip) and don't know about the unfortunate events of the last ten days, I am back stateside. I came home today, tuesday, exactly a month a head of schedule. I came down with a pretty nasty stomach condition that was pretty scary to be having in remote places in nepal (started on the trail). Even in the kathmandu the pain did not relent and I knew i had to come home and get everything figure out in the comfort and safety of home. I have had this illness before (at least i think i have, i will be going to a doctor tomorrow to hopefully just confirm and help advise on the condition), but not to the degree i had it on the trip. so i am back, relived, but sad to have left James and Dave back in Nepal.
On the bright side, they both are still there and traveling together. They will be continuing to report on their travels on Daves blog (the one we used in Leh: http://journals.worldnomads.com/blancharddb). They are heading to Pokara, Nepal tomorrow to continue treking and exploring.
I had an amazing trip excluding the last week or so and even that had it's good point. James and Dave were both absoultely a blast to travel with. We has so much fun! My only regret of the trip is not getting to travel the three of us together! I know they will have a great time even without me to jointly make fun of. Cant wait to see everyone soon!
