    Peace. Moalboal, to me, represented peace. A place where time stood still. The waters are calm. Nature looked after life and the people respected that. by: mishc Views[257] The other locals. Moalboal is a sleepy town. One or two locals would be at each guesthouse or restaurant, chatting with each other, some of the men out on their boats, a handful of foreigners, mainly solo travellers, diving or sitting at a bar. Then there were the children. So carefree, playing with their mates with wide smiles, radiating pure joy. by: mishc Views[214] The locals. A few metres off shore is a long stretch of coral wall covered in colourful corals of differents shapes and sizes. Long blue tubes that spat out warm water, large flat corals with tufts of bright orange and green sea anemone where tropical fish would hide and occassionally peek out when their curiosity got the better of them. But the most amazing thing I saw were the sea turtles. These grand old creatures sitting amongst the coral wall or swimming out to the open waters; sort of like the birds of the sea as they slowly flap their limbs. All this only a few metres off the shore. by: mishc Views[643] Mysteries of the sea. This was my first time scuba diving and it opened up an amazing world of what used to be dark and mysterious. by: mishc Views[285] Calm waters of Moalboal. Moalboal is a small beach town in the Philippines that was once famous for scubadivers. These days, the divers have move onto more popular sites leaving a small quiet strip of guesthouses, the odd diving shop and locals. The peacefulness and serenity of the town is reflected in the calm glasslike waters, only disturbed by the soft paddling of local boats. by: mishc Views[416]
