Travels of a wandering Waterboy
Journey round Caribbean and Central America in search of a new destination.
About mickthewaterboy
I am a 56 year young novice PADI dive Instructor looking for the ideal situation for relaxed diving.
I spent 40 years in the telecoms business and travelled the world working for other people. I am not yet ready for the pipe and slippers and am looking for the next adventure.
I have 4 grown children with 7 grandkids, with another on the way, aged between 16 and 2.
I lived in Sierra leone for the last 7 years where I st up a dive school which never took off due to the very poor economy and the after effects of the Ebola pandemic.
I took a job in Saint martin at a dive centre but did not like the way they ran their business. Not saying it was wrong, just that it did not suit my philosophy and desired working practices.
I want to teach people to dive and have fun while doing so. I believe that diving should be relaxed with plenty of time to prepare, dive, and relax afterwards. Not get them in and out of the water as quickly as possible to get a second group in in the afternoon.
