Ya Su everyone! We arrived in Folegandros a week ago and have been staying down in the port town travelling around by foot, bus and hire car. The days are blending into a long Greek sojourn of yoghurt for brekkie, salad for lunch, swim, siesta, wine....wine.....dinner....wine....and sleep. Folegandros is amazingly beautiful. Its main town is perched on a 400m cliff and has the quitessential white washed little cubic houses set around market squares.
Dad hired a car 2 days ago and we've been driving the main street up and back to beautiful beaches off the beaten track to tavernas selling homemade food and seafood straight out of the sea. It's incredibly tough work. I tried the ouzo the other night with dinner and acquired hiccups so violent other diners turned round in their seats to find the source. I tried to charmingly grin at them in response but only let another awful "EEEEKKKKKKK!" I've since stuck to wine.
If you get a chance, check out Anemomilos Apartments, Folegandros on Google. Not sure of the spelling but everything is bloody Greek to me. We have 2/ 3 more nights here at Vrahos Hotel than move onto there for our last treat. Everyone well, loving Greece.....getting brown as berries.
