    Individual grains of rice grow to create a commodity that has become the life-force of the Ifugao people for generations. by: michal Views[603] The elderly men who are no longer physically able to work in the paddies stay home watching children, roasting papuy(rice wine), and preparing meats for the feast. by: michal Views[358] Rice in the Ifugao is planted and harvested by hand. Men carry the ~60kilo load over their shoulder and hike barefoot back to their homes. by: michal Views[406] Traditional Ifugao huts are constructed without nails and are sturdy enough to withstand the impact of an earthquake.
