I could come up with a list of grievances about my trip to Ko Phi Phi, but I would like to focus on the good things that happened. I am so happy that I spent the extra money to take the boat tour around the islands. I had already seen a lot of Ko Phi Phi in movies, but to be there in person, riding in a long boat with the fresh sea air and clear water was amazing. I want to the memories of this trip to be in soft focus with the inconveniences blending into that incredible aquamarine background. I look at my self portrait that I took somewhere near Maya Beach on Ko Phi Phi Leh and I think about what it was that made that girl smile.
