That cow is sacrificed today

MALAYSIA | Monday, 7 November 2011 | Views [186]

Adjusting to time now, the Meuzzin woke me this day, and I'm just back from breakfast.  I see 82 views over all and no comments.  What's news?  I was only about to access my gmail account once.  Please another clue on the password?

The first animal we saw at the zoo yesterday was a cow tethered by the carpark.  My friend said, 'the cow will be sacrificed later today'.  The Moslem festival yesterday accounted for the beautiful clothes worn by men, women and children and also for the crowds in the city stations since it is a long weekend.

About an hour into my zoo experience the camera battery died again.  Edwina kindly took images for me all day. The morning was beautifully cool, about 20 degrees maybe.

Last night I was grateful for her earlier advice that if I didn't like food I'd ordered, since I have paid for it, I could just walk away.  One would need a pathologist to identify which of the internal workings  of the animal were served up in my bowl.  Reminiscent of the Philippines I just couldn't do it.

Walking home the long way round the block, enjoying the visual feast of shops selling food, videos, music mainly, I found a bakery.  Took home a bag of 'coconut bread' rolls much like pan de Coco from Philippines Bakery and demolished them like Eddy on cheese rolls.

Reminiscent once more of Mawaque I was grateful to Edwina for confirming the workings of public toilets.  No toilet paper, instead the little bucket and jug is replaced by a small hose on the wall, very refreshing, and now I can make full use of the facilities in my own private bathroom!

I am as a livingstone daisy being hosed on a hot afteroon, aah.

So 5.45am, cool again about 20 degrees I walked back thru the food area of last night, it is under the railway line, hailed by the night security guard.  We chatted about safety, there was noone else around and I don't feel any sense of danger at that time although I am alert.

Across the road to my cafe of yesterday, and just spent the entire time chatting with a railway worker, Asla. He showed me a photo on his phone of his pet flying fox. He filled me in on local life.  When I told him my plans of the day, he said he would see me later.  He wrote down the precise costs of the day with a lot of excellent detail.  As he left, I asked if he'd see me in the ticket office.  No he said, I am the station master.

Question? Do we have blue ray at home? DVDs are about $4, or 3 for $10 but I have no idea what to get?  Can I buy games at these shops?  Would Eddy like?

Thinking of family reading this, I am keen for news, and assuring you all is well.
