Zoo to you too

MALAYSIA | Sunday, 6 November 2011 | Views [226]

Its 7.35pm and Ive been out and about since 5am having a fantastic day.

I'm pretty tired.  It was a terrific time at the Zoo with Edwina, she is very interesting to converse with.  The animals were exotic and the variety of people equally fascinating.

We returned to this area for lunch and then went into central KL by train.  We went to a market where it was great to have a local woman alongside to guide and advise.  At one stage we were crowded for many blocks, an unusual environment for me in that maybe 1 in 10 people was female, and 1 in 500 or 1000 maybe was white. Jostling from sheer numbers.  All these dark men from countries I couldn't distinquish and I was grateful for Kathie's sewing.

It was less crowded in the 'central market' building, kind of the equivalent of the Arts Centre.  We were just looking.

On the way home the station very crowded, but peaceful, except for the people wearing shrts 'Amazing   race Kuala Lumpur' they bounded through the disabled entry to the train platforms.

ok this isn't war and peace, I'm quite tired and about to catch a quick bite and hit the sack.  Edwina is lovely and she made my day.  I learned so much from her.

Tomorrow I travel to the Genting Highlands, it is about an hour from here by two buses and a cable car.
