But as children do, they always find time to have fun and enjoy their life in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Most locals have never left their small island, meaning most children will follow the steps of their parents and will become seaweed farmers. Though many children skip the morning session to go to school. The majority comes around in the evening to begin what will probably become their life long work.

As night begins to fall, the men will always try to collect one last batch. Being a male dominant culture, the men take pride in looking out for their family. But as Made, the man in the picture, says “That last trip is for me. Five kilos more, will buy me a pack of cigarettes, that will get me through tomorrow.”
