In a country that is still very divided by the memories of war, the UWC, is the only school in Mostar that allows students from Bosnia’s three groups (Bosniaks, Croats and Serbs) to be taught in the same building. Located on the third floor of the Gymnasium- a beautiful yellow building in the centre of the city- the UWC aims to bridge these ethnic divisions by leading the reconciliation between the youth of BiH.

Located in Bali, Indonesia, The Green School, is focused on providing a holistic education with sustainability at its core. It looks to form a future generation of creative, innovative and green leaders.
Staying away from the traditional mould of most schools, the greenest school on earth, is home to some of the most beautiful and eco-friendly projects on the planet. If a new and exciting idea, such as a mud wrestling ring, comes along, be sure that it will take form in this amazing place.

Many communities still live with the concept that girls are inferior, trapping them in a cycle of poverty when they deny them their education. Yet, numerous studies have proven that woman education is the most effective way to guarantee the long-term success of developing economies.
Many organizations, such as the one this volunteer is working for, are making a valiant effort to fight poverty from its root by putting girls first.
