Rest and recovery

Being friends with the managers of the cabana has its benefits and Bambo helped put on a wonderful spread for dinner.  Beautiful fish, prawns, pizza was all washed down with beautiful Malbec and merlot wines.  On top of the beer and rum I drank earlier, by the time midnight came around, I was 'muy bebido' but managed the steep stairs to my lofty bed, hehe.  So I must say it was a great disappointment to flush all that good food and drink down the gurgler in the middle of the night!  At any rate, I'm hoping the dose of Imodium I took this morning will kill off Montezuma's curse straight away so I may continue this journey 'runs free' ;)

Having failed to meet Bambo for breakfast, I bought some supplies and ended up walking the length of the bay to pass the time.  It's such a nice day and even the on-shore breeze is warm to the touch.  A swim in the clear water was just the ticket to restore some semblance of normality to my frazzlement, hehe.  Today was going to be a go-slow day so I spent a couple of hours just lazing beachside reading my book.

Later in the day, I got taken to fabulous 'ranchero' style restaurant just north of Peurto Angel where the tender arracherra beef rolled in a hot guacamole and onions in a warm corn tortilla was washed down with a cerveza.  I felt pretty normalised after that :). The company included lovely Layla from the Mexico Lindo, and two other friends of hers, one of which was German.  As my German is only slightly better than my Spanish, the cross language conversations were a trial!  In the end my brain turned to spaghetti again!  Spanish words sound like English, German words sounding Spanish, and English thrown in between.  In the end i just let the Spanish wash over me but the company was great and I had a nice time.  Who knows what tomorrow will bring :)
