    After a long day’s ride we returned to our camp in the valley to rest our legs and share some stories under the cloudless African night sky above. by: mattquarta Views[280] As the sun begins to set we found ourselves passing through a small chicken farm. After speaking to a few of the residents we found out that the sole purpose for this community was to run the chicken farm. Self-sufficient and with the nearest shop being over an hour drive away they are seemingly detached from the world. by: mattquarta Views[242] On the second day we ventured down into the valley and stumbled upon a small rural village. It was a Sunday afternoon and the local community had gathered out in the sunshine to watch their weekly football match and support their local team. Instead of perfectly cut green grass with a backdrop of branded concrete this game is played on a dry field, no lines and plenty of smiles. Happiness within simplicity. by: mattquarta Views[268] After an early Winter morning start and many hours on the bike we turned a corner to be greeted with an amazing sight, at least 15 paragliders sailing in the wind as if on invisible waves. A breathtaking sight, a sight we found deserving of a perfect place to rest our legs and refuel our energy for an afternoon lunch in the mountains. by: mattquarta Views[206] We all have passions, mine is exploration.
